Dear Members and Guests of
the Critical Facilities Round Table,
Please accept this invitation to the 12th Quarterly Membership Meeting of the
Critical Facilities Round Table. Our meeting will be hosted by Silicon Valley Developer Les
Pelio & Associates.
Speakers will
include representatives form Digital Realty Trust, Silicon Valley Power,
and IP Networks who will describe the unique electrical
power and network connectivity of a site destined to become one of
Northern California's premier data centers. Another speaker will
discuss electrical infrastructure alternatives that can make this
facility as highly reliable on the inside as it will be on the
outside.

DIRECTIONS: Freeway 101
to San Thomas/ Montegue
Expressways South onto San Thomas Expressway, Left on Scott Blvd, and
Left on Space Park Drive for two blocks to 1500 on the right.
There should be plenty of parking on the
street.

Trust
Jerry's group
has completed more data center real estate transactions in the
Bay Area than any other real estate services company while assisting their clients
evaluate options and make informed site selection decisions. He
is a SVP at CB Richard Ellis responsible for disposition of critical
facilities spaces in Northern California. He will provide an
overview of the shrinking supply of data center space in Silicon Valley,
and then summarize a local developer’s plans for a 350,000 square foot
data center development with strong power and connectivity
redundancy.

& Reliability" John Roukema, Assonant Director,
SVP Customer Service & Marketing
John has worked in the Santa Clara utilities
community for over 25 years. He has held positions responsible for
electrical distribution systems engineering operations and maintenance, and
generation resource acquisition, development and operations.He has
served on the Boards of Directors of the California Municipal Utilities
Governors' Board and the American Public Power Association DEED program.
John worked for PG&E as an electrical engineer and holds a Master Degree
in EE from Santa Clara U. John will share Silicon Valley Power's
offering to this and surrounding data center
sites.

Networks
Roger has
nearly 25 years of leadership and management experience in operations,
planning, asset management, financial planning, budget and risk management,
project and construction management, telecommunications, business development,
information technology, and electricity markets. Responsible
for transforming this San Francisco-based last mile fiber optics company
from start-up mode to mature business status. His holds degrees in
Electric Engineering Power Systems and Computer Science and course work in
Public Policy all from UC Berkeley. Roger
will compare the network connectivity alternatives available at is site and
others.

Systems" David Roybal, PE,
Fellow Applications Engineer, Eaton Cutler & Hammer
David a
Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
and has served as an officer of the San Francisco chapter of the IEEE
Industry Applications Society, the San Francisco IEEE Section, and the IEEE
Bay Area Council. He is a member
of the NFPA, the NSPE, the IAEI, the CEI Executive Board,
and is chairman of the NEMA California Safety Regulations Advisory
Committee. He received the Westinghouse Board of
Directors' Order of Merit and also received the IEEE Third
Millennium Medal in the year 2000. He is a registered California
EE and holds a degree in EE from Santa Clara U. Dave
will discuss
choices available in the design electrical distribution
systems. Utility metering and
protection requirements will be discussed as well as types of primary
distribution systems, 38 kV and below, and the design
of secondary distribution systems, 600 volts and below.
